Top Selling Rap Albums On Billboard Chart This Week

Lil Wayne's "I Am Not A Human Being 2" album puts him at the top of the top selling rap albums on Billboard for this week- It sold 217,000. Although no where near what Carter 4 (960K first week)  sold first week in 2011, it is still good first week numbers.  It should be noted that the I Am Not A Human Being series is not marketed as a Lil Wayne studio album, the way the Carter series is. Check out the full list of top selling rap albums on the Billboard top 200 album charts below-

Lil Wayne- I Am Not A Human Being 2- 217,000 (217,000)

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis- The Heist- 30,000 (526,000)

Kendrick Lamar- "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City"- 16,000 (824,000)

A$AP Rocky- Long Live A$AP- 9,200 (312,000)

Drake- Take Care- 7,500 (1,998,000)

T.I- Trouble Man- 6,000 (441,000)

Ces Cru- Constant Energy Struggle- 5,400 (5,400)

2 Chainz- Based On A T.R.U Story- 4,800 (581,000)

The Notorious B.I.G- Greatest Hits- 3,100 (694,000)

Drake's 2011 album, Take Care made its way back on the chart this week. This shows that there is anticipation for a new Drake album. His "Started from the Bottom" single is getting constant play on MTV and radio stations, enough to have people checking record stores for anything new from Drake. And since the newest from his catalogue is his 2011 album, people would buy it anyway. And Biggie got on the chart with his 2007 Greatest Hits album. Hmm! I wonder what event caused that boast. Maybe the talks of a Biggie ghost acting in an upcoming reality TV show with his kids.
